Beginning Monologue: Have you ever seen a hyena lurking in the mountains looking for something to prey upon? The hyena of the mountains that only seeks the rotting meat of a dead beast… I do not wish to be a hyena but rather a leopard. I want to become the leopard of the snow covered Kilimanjaro that climbs high up to the peaks and freezes to death after starvation. I, who becomes great after one night’s sleep and then pitiful after another, am now currently briefly resting in the dark corner of the earth. The ambitious lights of the city are nowhere to be found within me. Even if I have been abandoned to my complete lonesome in the middle of this big city, what is to be the problem? Especially when there is a man who lived a much more tragic life than mine named Gogh. Verse 1: I can’t appear like the wind and disappear like dew. I should at least leave behind remnants of my life. Even if weakly vanish like a string of smoke I must ignite like a bright flame. Don’t ask me. Don’t ask me why oh why I have to go up so high. Even if no one understands the burning passion of a lonely man, what is to be the problem?
Second monologue: The world that cannot provide anything to console you when living feels hollow and your back feels cold -they say what makes this world suddenly so beautiful is love. Those who say so do not know how lonely love makes one feel. They do not know you become lonely as much as you love. You said you love crickets. I loved crickets as well. You said you love lilacs. I loved lilacs as well. You said you love the night. I loved the night as well. Cheers to my youth that is brilliant but lonely and seemingly full but empty. Verse 2: Love is lonely because you put your fate on the line. You become lonely because you give everything. Love and aspirations all require everything. Giving everything is a lonely act. Love is a heart aching passion in which a farewell is evident. What is at the end of passion? Love should not make you regretful even after you lose everything. Only then could you say you have loved. Final monologue: No matter how deep into the night it is I will be remain as a spark. Even if the land is withered and burnt, I will remain as the sound of a pure steam of water. Even if a vicious storm sweeps over the forest, I will remain as an indomitable tree. The reason I live in this world is because the 21st century has longed for me. Verse 3: The Kilimanjaro so high up-Is it the clouds? Is it the snow? I pick up my bag again today. Even if I become a part of the mountain as I shake hands with the solitude I meet there, what is to be the problem?
