The RSHM LIFE Center on Beekman Avenue in Sleepy Hollow received a $50,000 grant from the New York Life Foundation. The RSHM LIFE Center serves low income, immigrant, non-English speaking families in the community. The grant funds will be used for the LIFE Center’s After School Program, which focuses on Kindergarten-6th grade children’s English language development, assists them with homework and school assignments, and provides tutoring. The program’s goal is to help build the basic skills which will enable these children to achieve their potential as individuals and community members. http://thehudsonindependent.com/node/2857
