Genndy Borisovich Tartakovsky (Russian: Геннадий Борисович Тартаковский, born January 17, 1970) is a Russian-American animator, director and producer. His best-known creations are Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and Sym-Bionic Titan. Tartakovsky will be directing the computer animated comedy Hotel Transylvania, which will be his animated film debut. He also wrote the uncredited story for the film. Although his Russian name Геннадий is normally transliterated as Gennady or Gennadiy, he changed its spelling to Genndy after moving from Russia to the US.
