lauerzчто читать e.mail'ы c работы - это вполне достаточное чтение. Не нужно ни романов, ни стихов, ни детективов, всё можно найти прямо по месту работы, и генерируется прямо так сказать служащими на местах службы. Жаль, что я частные e.mail'ы не могу цитировать. Но вот - общественный.
Ref: Mountain Lion (Update)
Although a 140 pound mountain lion was reported killed in Milford CT. on Saturday by a vehicle the University Police Department is continuing its watch over the campus grounds and adjoining areas. While it is possible that this animal is the same one seen in our area last week we still urge everyone to use caution while walking, jogging and using the fields of our campus.
Yesterday there was a reported sighting of a “large tan cat” in Greenwich CT. The cat was “described by the family as a mountain lion” according to lt. Gray of the Greenwich Police Department. If true, the sighting likely means the mountain lion killed in Milford ct on Saturday is a different one altogether.
Also, Last night a campus resident reported that she heard from her apartment an animal attacking another animal around 2am. The resident did not see the animals, but it was quite apparent to her that one of the animals was much larger than the other.
If anyone sees or hears anything in the area please do not investigate it yourself but instead call University Police at (223) 332-2232.

У меня бабушка жила рядом с зоопарком. Не совсем рядом, надо сказать- в километре. И по ночам было слышно рычание львов. Мне в детстве постоянно снились кошмары на тему хищников в городе.
А здесь у нас пумы есть, лет 5 назад нападали на велосипедистов.
Потом пуму на детской площадке видели, как раз через полчаса после того, как мы оттуда ушли.
Это и понятно- столько газонов, оленям раздолье. А раз есть еда, есть и те, кто эту еду слопает
